Pros:Great for holding cd DVD or blue raysCons:NoneOverall Review:Here is the instructions from imation for how to get the belts to repair a broken disc stakka:Dear David,Thank you for contacting technical support. Regarding your email, you'll be able to order the belt kits for your unit through our parts supplier Fox International at 1-800-321-6993 with the part # IMDISKSTAK-BLT.Should you have any questions or concerns, please let us know and we'll be happy to address them.Best regards,Gabriela FloresTechnical Support Specialist. Pros:While it works its great for getting discs without having to look everywhere.

It also keeps people from getting at your discs if your PC is locked.Cons:Once it starts getting 'Unknown Error' it becomes VERY frustrating.Overall Review:I found repair procedures on Youtube. I also found out that if you email your serial number(s) to techsupport@memorex.com they'll send replacement belts. I don't know if the belts will fix my Stakkas (yes, I bought 2) but it can't hurt. The next stop for them is the trash anyway.

Hope it works, I loved them while they were reliable. Pros:The main concept of the unit is good. Storing discs is easy and the database is useful in tracking media in.Cons:The get the media out you have to rip the unit apart and force by hand. The mechanical design of the unit is weak and badly executed. I have a mechanical engineering degree and to the rubber band drive system is of poor design and does not have the strength needed to eject the discs. I have three units and all failed to eject any of the discs. The customer support at Imation is non-existent as attempts to contact them have fell on deaf ears.Overall Review:If you just want a unit to store media forever and have it tracked in a database, this will work.

If you actually want to eventually eject the media, expect to bring your screw driver to disassemble it. Pros:Very silent, doesn't need an external power source, and the software bundled with it isn't so bad. It's stackable up to 5 units to a tower (a single USB cord for 5 units) thats 500 discs total per tower.Cons:I've cracked this thing open a few times just because it would jam eventually.

It's not hard to take apart, but for $100? The pieces itself aren't worth more than $50 all together.

The rubber bands that turn the plastic gears wear out eventually and lose their tightness. The warranty for this product is 1 year. And for a reason. Because right after 1 year comes around, the cheap materials end up wearing out. And you are out of a warranty.Overall Review:My opinion, its good for a short thrill. But for a long term usage, don't buy it.

I wouldn't recommend buying it. Pros:Nice simple design. I liked my first one so much I bought 2 additional units. After my Ziotek bought the farm within a week I knew I just had to try something else. Stakka's seemed to fit the bill. My first unit is still plodding along just fine.Cons:I've bought 3 of these units. And 2 have basically failed in less than 6 months of use.

I have to manually spin the carousel by hand and even then it doesn't always work! The 3rd unit seems to be 'locked'. I've removed the unit repeatedly, removed and readded the discs. And still nada. Finally went back to a soft sided CD case for now. So be careful with this one.

1 good one out 3 isn't a good ratio if you ask me. Buyer Beware!!!Overall Review:I know this review is quite a bit later than all the others but when I last check NewEgg. They weren't even carrying the Stakka anymore. Now it seems they are again.
