Went away for a few days with a girlfriend who had booked a superior room - only to be given a room over looking the car park with a balcony with a brick wall as a view! The room itself was ok - so we asked to change but were told no pool view rooms available only views of car park or a suite available - so we opted for the suite which was a beautiful room over looking the pool (but we had to pay for the upgraded room) we could see there were rooms over looking the pool which seemed to have nobody in them! But we’re not offered any of these.
The hotel itself is good but be prepared if your English - anybody Spanish will be spoken to or seen before you. The food was ok - seafood evening was super busy and they ran out of some items (crab legs ) early in the evening. Isla Cristina itself has a beautiful beach although Isla Canela has an even better one and is a more upmarket resort.
Isla Cristina mayor needs to clean up his town dog faesus everywhere you walk in the town it’s truly disgusting we even saw it happening on the beach where small children would play. Why in this day and age is this still happening. The town is nice but no bars were open it was dead at night. On reflection I would probably go to Isla Canela there are nice hotels right on the beach.
